Boom Tubes. We are trying to find good suppliers for the boom tubes. If you have good sources please let us know at PBA and we will put them on this page for other builders to try. Thanks. Jim H. (note that all sources will require shipping and crating charges).
Note! Be sure you insure the shipper has responsibility for protecting "creating" the tube so it does not get damaged during shipping. The supplier will most likely charge a creating fee but the tube isn't much good to you damaged.

General material sources including boom tubes.... http://www.globaltecheng.com/alutubing.htm check grade for boom tube 6300 series should be OK.
Some folks are using irrigation pipe for the boom tube (not 6000 series), I don't have an answer about the safety of that choice but if your using that kind of pipe be sure its 5000 series that is hardened (exp. H-12), do not use 3000 series for anything.
Possibly Titan Aircraft and New Kolb for boom tubes. Rans will probably have both 5" and 6" tubes for sale.
